David Platt of Coronation Street made a difficult confession about Shona’s future
David Platt of Coronation Street had to be cleared from Shona today (January 29) because his family’s future accommodation arrangements are uncertain.
The couple recently moved out of No. 8 with the children to develop Ray Crosby’s planned development, but Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) gave them the opportunity to buy the property back as the controversial tower building is no longer be built.
In Friday’s one-hour episode, David (Jack P. Shepherd) is pressured by Debbie to sign the relevant paperwork.
It seems that David is already encouraging Debbie to focus on other residents.
Later, when David is called upon for his suspicious behavior, he reluctantly admits to Shona (Julia Goulding) that buying back the house will not be as easy as he thought.
As David used the money to pay for the mortgage, he will not be able to buy it back.
The conversation comes as a shock to Tracy McDonald (Kate Ford), who does not want to go back to her old apartment.
Wanting more space, Tracy reached out to Debbie and dropped the bombshell that David is staring at because he can’t afford to buy back No. 8.
Tracy has put herself as another customer, promising to come up with the cash without a hitch.
Debbie sticks to her agreement with Abi Franklin by promising that David can initially refuse the house, but she also warns that she wants to be sold soon.
As David draws attention, will he say goodbye to his future on the street?
Coronation Street airs tonight at 7.30pm on ITV.
